Just sharing a tip with y’all about using Apple Magic Trackpad with Windows. 

Getting one of these setup for basic functionality is quite easy (step 1 is to Bluetooth pair the device, step 2 – download and install the Apple driver http://www.trackpadcontrol.com/images/stories/download/Trackpad-Driver-Instal...).

The more annoying bit is that one it is setup, the “dragging” behaviour is quite annoying.  Unless you are very specific to remove your finger from the trackpad for a short period, often when you tap to select the trackpad will assume you are dragging, this has quite odd consequences (from text selection through to odd gesture behaviour in Firefox/Chrome).

I thought this was a simple fix by the normal Microsoft control panel, ensure that dragging is disabled.  Sadly this made no change to the situation.

PS – A little tip, instead of purchasing one of the expensive keyboard and mouse adaptors, just use some 3M Command micro hooks with some elastic bands.  This keeps the trackpad flush with your keyboard!
